A little about Janome…

It seems many sewists are unfamiliar with The Janome Sewing Machine Company.  A lot of folks walk into the shop and say the name as if they are referring to a biology experiment.  I explain that the name is not “genome.”  It’s “Ja-NO-me.”  Just think, “‘Janome' is to love me.”Janome merged with the well-established New Home Sewing Machine Company in 1960. The merger makes Janome the second-oldest sewing machine manufacturer in the world—only two years younger than Singer.

Janome Service and Repair

Does your current Janome machine need repair?  Jim, our repair guy, is a Janome-trained technician. He's usually here to do repairs on every other Wednesday. Why every other Wednesday? Because Janome machines don't need many repairs, they only need maintenance! But of course, if you need repairs, we are fully capable of handling those too!

Get your machine in any time before end-of-day on Tuesdays and he can work on it! Cleanings and repairs are $99.99 for computer models and $79.99 for non-computer models. Really big repairs may cost more. Any required parts are purchased separately. Make time to get your machine in for its overdue cleaning now, BEFORE it starts acting up!
