You just gotta visit this place! Beautiful quilts adorn the walls. Friendly staff that makes a new quilter like me feel very comfortable. Great selection of new, bright fabrics. I had a great time here. -FB

I stopped in this shop for the first time over the weekend. Wow! It was great! I had this idea to make a quilt for my sister, but didn't really know where to go from there. The people who work there were so friendly and helpful! I left with a pattern and fabric to make a beautiful quilt for my sister! I will definitely be back, and will bring my quilt to show everyone! Thanks for all the help! -MH

I was inspired by a Carol Doak book I bought at your store. Then I bought the fabric. Then I made the holiday cards! Thanks for all you do for newbies like me. - LB

Just bought a sewing machine from them!!!! Awesome!!! They also helped my husband pick out some fabric. Great job. Love the shop. -P

I just love this quilt shop! The owner, Patti has such a lovely, creative touch. Each time I visit her shop, I am inspired! -KC

I have purchased material for my last 3 quilts and I have gone in perplexed and just cannot think of which direction I want to take my project and have left feeling good and with a smile. Every employee I have encountered has been quite helpful and their knowledge of particular quilt patterns, differences in types of materials makes the experience even better. There are not many quilt shops in the area and this is a true gem. Keep up the good work. -ST

I stopped by yesterday because I needed guidance in finishing a minky (minkee) blanket. I followed your instructions and it worked out beautifully! Thank you for taking the time to explain the best way for me to accomplish this. This beginner really appreciates your help. - LH

Wanted to let you know how much I loved the kit I bought from you. I purchased the Catalina Sling purse kit at the Schaumburg Sewing & Quilting EXPO. It was wonderful. You marked the fabric, so I didn't have to measure each piece and try and figure out where each fabric went. The colors in the kit were great. I finished it and can't wait to take it to my sewing group to show it off. -L

The staff at this friendly store is willing to aid you with any questions you might have about quilting. It’s brimming with patterns, notions, unique quilting fabrics like batiks, instructive classes and Janome sewing machines. Owner Patti Dockus has created her store to be a true destination for the quilter/fiber artist where they can relax, get advice, or be inspired. -SS

More fun than going to Lou Malnati's for Pizza! -Anonymous

I absolutely enjoy this place! The staff is amazing and very friendly. Plus the fabric is unlike anything you will find in a retail fabric store. I really like the fact that the fabric is unique and one of a kind. I like the fact that there are quilting ideas all around the store that they made themselves. They are gorgeous! As for their sewing machines they have on display, the one that I used was absolutely the easiest thing I have ever used in my life. It was awesome! Not to mention that the staff knows about each one they sell! It's great when you can trust the people who work at a store. -CZ

I have bought fabric, thread, batting, and notions at Quilter’s Destination. The selection of all of those plus books and patterns is excellent. I recently asked for an item that wasn't on the floor, and the owner had it for me in seconds, went back for another one, and a staff member did the same trick! Sales people are polite and friendly. This is how this shop really shines. The staff and owner are always very warm, friendly, and helpful, in person, on the phone, and to others when I'm there. They are NEVER pushy or indifferent. I've seen sewing machine owners getting one-on-one help that seems to be in addition to the classes that come with the machine. The quality of the items this store sells is excellent! The knowledge, experience, and passion for quilting among the owner and staff are outstanding. Unlike a chain store, they sell notions that they know will WORK. I've never had a bad experience there. I've gotten great help picking fabrics and batting. They have lots of classes at reasonable prices. I wouldn't hesitate to buy a $$$machine there. They have a lovely, spotless bathroom, which surely allows for longer and more comfortable shopping and classes. I will absolutely continue to shop at Quilter's Destination and recommend it to quilters without reservation.TheyEARNcustomerloyaltywithconsistentlygreatservice. –MB

My FAVORITE shop is "Quilter's Destination" in Arlington Heights. I live in Florida, but my parents live in Des Plaines, so I am up there often and always bring home fabric! -CT

I spent many hours there working with their wonderful store staff to select fabrics for a new Log Cabin quilt for my room and a few other irresistible pieces of fabric. I got one batik that literally can take your breath away. -P

This shop is a gem! They have a nice selection of fabric that moves quickly...Moda, Kaufmann, Anna Griffin, batiks, etc. They also have lots of individual patterns with samples made up. There is a good mix of quilts, applique, and embroidery samples on the walls and strewn about their store. I can never spend enough time there. Lots of classes too, as well as days you can come in and just use their space for sewing or cutting...while you are with like minded folks! -K

The other day, I went in to Quilters' Destination in Arlington Heights IL for ONE THING with my loyalty program coupon, and came out with SO MUCH more. I'm not usually like that, but they have great selection, displays, and warm, expert service. -MB

I forgot how great this place is! - H, 8 years old

(Quilter's Destination) is truly a home away from home. Its probably a good thing that I don't live any closer or I might be with you more than at home. -MHK

I have taken many classes from QD and have learned alot. I love coming in to the store because everyone is so nice and willing to help me. -LB

If you are looking for a good LQS in Arlington Heights, I would recommend checking out Quilter's Destination. I only recently found this store when looking for Janome dealers in the area. Janome is the only brand they sell and they are currently in the process of expanding their store to 3 times the original size. I have found the employees to be very friendly and helpful at this store. I recently took the first part of their beginning quilting class where the top of a baby size quilt is pieced. I enjoyed the class very much and thought it was well taught and I learned a lot. I also liked that they limited the size of their beginning quilting class to a maximum of 4 students. I am looking forward to going back as they have opened the new part of the store. –M
